agknow

AgKnow approached us as a nascent nonprofit with a bold mission: to respond to the alarming rate of farmer suicides in Alberta. Research underscored a critical issue: farmers were silently grappling with mental health challenges, often concealing their struggles due to the immense pressure to provide for their families and communities. Compounded by societal expectations of resilience, this crisis demanded immediate attention.

Executive Director Linda Hunt envisioned a network offering farmers essential support, including free therapy and specialized agricultural training for therapists to address their unique needs. While her vision was clear, AgKnow required assistance in building a strong brand identity, foundational assets, and a strategic roadmap to effectively communicate their mission.

Upon launch, AgKnow was immediately praised for its clear messaging and farmer-focused authenticity. Our work culminated in AgKnow receiving sustainable funding, including a $400,000 contribution from the Government of Alberta, which allowed the organization to hire two full time staff and better serve the mental health needs of the agricultural community.
